One-Time Setup / Connect Your Spotify:

Spotify is a massive platform with strict rules for how applications like ours can connect to them--one of which: they require apps to have 250k monthly users before allowing them to connect to spotify's services. You can read their requirements here. As a small independent app, we have to temporarily ask you to take a few extra steps to set up:

  1. Go to spotify's developers dashboard and log in
  2. Click on your username or the icon on the top right corner and click on dashboard
  3. Click Create App
  4. Enter any app name or description
  5. Add the redirect URI below to the Redirect URIs section
    https://translatespotify.com:443/callback
  6. Check "Web API" under the "Which API/SDKs are you planning to use?" questions and then check "I understand and agree ..."
  7. Click Save
  8. Then copy and paste the client ID and Secret here:

*the client id and secret won't be stored by us but will be retained in your browser so you don't need to manually enter them in the future.
